Blackbird Cottage...

Passing over the moors from Pickering, you drop into Sleights. A right turn by the Church leads you into the valley bottom, and Iburndale, one of the oldest settlements in this area. The village has a quiet hamlet appearance. Proceed over the stream bridge and after a short distance turn right (Mill Lane) and Blackbird Cottage is on your left, nestling in a quiet and comfortable position close to the centre of the hamlet.

This lovely stone built cottage sits at the end of a short row of characterful cottages on a quiet lane, only about 4 miles from Whitby. It is not difficult to imagine how these cottages could have been occupied years ago.

The kitchen gives access to an airy morning room and a snug lounge with log stove. There is a bathroom and two bedrooms all sharing a similar charming appearance. Outside there is a sheltered enclosed garden and private seating area. There is parking for a car on-site.
